Sat, 21 April 2007  *PG - Headphones Suggested* On this somewhat sarcastic episode of The Meandering Mouse, I take you along with me as I discover some of those "not so awesome" attractions and park moments around The Disneyland Resort. You know, those things in the park that simply leave you feeling flat and worthless kinda how those souvenir Penny Presses leave your hard earned money feeling. Not to worry though....I do leave you with some park sounds that are sure to make you feel fat and sassy. Afterall, it can't all be bad.To end the show, I feature a new segment for The Meandering Mouse which showcases the real meaning behind this week's show title. I am honored to have DPN'ers ProudMonkey and Haleobydesign on board as the creators of the phrase, "flat and worthless" and the talent behind The Penny Press. The Penny Press is a 10 minute romp through real Disney news done in the sarcastic style of Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update / The Daily Show. They aren't trying to present the Disney news in a timely and dry fashion as we are used to hearing it. Rather, The Penny Press delivers the Disney news to you the only way they know how, "Flat and Worthless." Wow, there's that phrase again. Mouse, Doug aka DisneyParkHopper, is back with another awesome
production which will transport you to what is arguably the most
detailed and elaborate Disney theme park on Earth: Tokyo's DisneySea!!!
Through the magic of sound and your own imagination you'll be put right in the middle of the park for the grand tour starting with a ride around Tokyo Bay on the monorail to the park's station. Can't make the trek to Tokyo yourself? Well, here's your chance to travel to the park....virtually. Headphones are a must for this experience. The virtual Tokyo meanderings completed by Doug will serve as an excellent primer and introduction for my actual meanderings to be taken at the Tokyo parks. Yup! The Meandering Mouse will be headed to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort in June of 2007 and I'll be sharing my experience with you! Next week, I'll be introducing a new segment which will become a regular for The Meandering Mouse Podcast. That's right! I have yet another addition to The Meandering Mouse team. The Penny Press, produced by DPN'ers ProudMonkey and HaleobyDesign, presents real Disney news presented in a style completely unique to the Disney pod-o-sphere. When I say unique, I mean unique.
